I Feel
I feel pain
the hurt of unexpected blows
I feel sorrow
the grief of misplaced trust
I feel despair
the loss of brotherly love
but
I feel alive
the song of birds in my ear
I feel happy
the smile of loved ones in my memory
I feel confident
the strength of ages past in my heart
